What Badoo does with your photos
Smart Photo decides
Badoo's Smart Photo feature moves your best performing photo to the front on its own, and Badoo says there is no opt out. You do not pick your first photo, so every photo has to be one you would be happy to show first.
Two to six slots
Badoo asks for at least two photos and allows no more than six, and its own help page says four to six work best. One Fottory batch returns up to 8 photos, so a single batch can fill the profile.
Verification is a selfie
Photo verification asks you to copy a gesture in a selfie. A mix of automated and human review then checks that the selfie matches the photos on your profile. It compares faces, so the face has to be yours.

Does Badoo allow AI generated photos?
Badoo's inauthentic profiles guideline prohibits "using someone else's photos, artificially-generated photos, or enhanced photos to deceive others". The condition there is deceiving. Badoo separately bans photos with digital effects so exaggerated that it cannot be clearly determined that you are the person in the photos. The line Badoo draws is about whether the photo still shows you.
How does Badoo photo verification work?
Badoo asks for a selfie copying a gesture, then matches it against the photos on your profile with a mix of automated and human review, and gives you a blue checkmark. It is a face comparison. Fottory starts from a photo of your face and keeps that face, so both sides of the comparison are you.
How many photos should I make for Badoo?

What about the Badoo watermark on my photos?
Badoo puts a small watermark in the top right corner of photos uploaded on its platform, and describes it as a security and authenticity signal. Badoo adds it to whatever you upload, so a Fottory photo carries it like any other. Photos may also go through a quick review before they appear.
Will the photos still look like me?
Yes. It is your own face, not a new one. Upload clear photos and the results look like you, at your best.
Are AI photos allowed on dating apps?
Dating apps do not ban AI photos. Tinder’s Community Guidelines say “Don’t create a fake account or pretend to be someone you’re not”, and say nothing about AI at all. The rule is about whether the person in the photo is you.
Will people be able to tell the photos are AI?
We cannot promise nobody notices, and anyone who does is guessing. What we can say is what decides it. A generated photo gives itself away when the face has been smoothed, when the light does not match the place, or when the person in it is not quite the person you meet. So the whole product is built the other way: your own face, your own features, kept as they are. You choose which photos to use, and you can say they were generated. Our own writing argues you should.
How many photos do I need to upload?
One is enough. It has to show only you, with your face towards the camera and your hair visible. You can add up to four for more variety. A side angle or a full body photo helps, but we do not need them.
Can I choose the scenes and outfits?
Yes. Pick a place and clothes from the list, describe them, or show us a photo to follow.
How much does it cost?
You pay once, with no subscription. Packs start at 19, and you only spend a credit when you ask for a photo.
