One batch covers the profile
Hinge shows 4 to 6 photos, depending on your country. A batch returns up to 8, so one or two batches fill the whole profile. Give each photo a different scene, so no two offer the same thing to say.

How many photos do I need to upload?
One is enough to start. You can upload up to four if you want more variety. Each one has to show a single person, your face turned to the front, hair visible. From that you get the 4 to 6 photos a Hinge profile asks for.
Should my Hinge pictures be selfies?
A selfie is fine as the photo you upload, as long as it shows one person, face to the front, hair visible. What you get back does not have to look like a selfie. A wider scene leaves room for something a note can land on.
What does it cost to fill a Hinge profile?
Packs are one off, with no subscription: 19 for 30 photos, 39 for 100, 69 for 200. Hinge holds 4 to 6, so the smallest pack covers several rounds of trying different scenes. Your first 2 photos are free when you sign up, with no card.
Which scene should I choose for a Hinge photo?
Choose a place someone could ask you about. A workshop, a market, a hill with a view. The scene can be a preset, a description you write, or a photo you upload as a reference. A blank wall gives a note nowhere to go.
Will the photos still look like me?
Yes. It is your own face, not a new one. Upload clear photos and the results look like you, at your best.
Are AI photos allowed on dating apps?
Dating apps do not ban AI photos. Tinder’s Community Guidelines say “Don’t create a fake account or pretend to be someone you’re not”, and say nothing about AI at all. The rule is about whether the person in the photo is you.
Will people be able to tell the photos are AI?
We cannot promise nobody notices, and anyone who does is guessing. What we can say is what decides it. A generated photo gives itself away when the face has been smoothed, when the light does not match the place, or when the person in it is not quite the person you meet. So the whole product is built the other way: your own face, your own features, kept as they are. You choose which photos to use, and you can say they were generated. Our own writing argues you should.
