Findings written about your photo, not picked from a list

Every other tool in this category returns a number for your face. An attractiveness score, a trustworthiness score, a rating out of ten. Those are opinions with a decimal point on them, and there is nothing you can do with one.

A finding here is a few plain words about your photograph, not a paragraph to wade through. Two of the six ratings are measured from your file. The other four are judged by AI looking at the photo. What it looks for:

Whether one person is clearly the subject, with the face and the eyes easy to see
Light, sharpness and resolution, measured in the file rather than guessed from a thumbnail
Framing and distance, and whether the background competes with you
Screenshots, collages and text laid over the image
Skin that shows no texture, said as an observation, never an accusation
Whether your eyes are visible, and how you are standing or sitting
Whether the photo gives a stranger something true to ask about

Six ratings, never a score

Each photo gets six ratings, each one Strong, Solid, Fair or Weak. A number would have to lie. The same photo can work in the middle of your profile and fail as the first one. One score cannot say both. When a photo does not show enough to judge something, the rating says so.

A correction is offered when a rating is Fair or Weak and the fault can honestly be corrected. It can also decline, and say that a new photo would serve you better. Often there is nothing worth changing, and the list comes back empty. That is a real answer, not a failure.

Where each photo goes

Hinge already predicts your best photo and can move it to the front. Tinder and Bumble ship their own selection tools. None of them tells you why.

So every photo is placed on its own. It goes first, second, somewhere in the middle, later, or not at all. The first slot has the hardest rules of all the apps. The check is firm about that one, and honest about how loose the rest are.

What this does not do

It does not score your face. There is no attractiveness rating, no trustworthiness rating, no overall number, and there will not be one. Classifying a person from a photograph is a different product and a worse one.

It also cannot tell you whether a photo looks like you. That is the one judgement only you can make.

What it does, and what it will not do

Signed out, your photos are deleted within 24 hours.
Signed in, your photos and their findings are kept, and the page opens on them next time.
It costs nothing. There is no card, no trial, and nothing to cancel.

The check names the gap. Generating fills it.

If a photo comes back as one not to use, you do not need six new photos. You need one that does its job. That is a much smaller task, and it is the one worth paying for.

Three things, for each photo. Where it goes on your profile, from use this first to do not use this one. Six ratings, each one Strong, Solid, Fair or Weak. And what to improve, in at most three short lines. Often that last list is empty, which means nothing is worth changing.

Will it score how I look?

No, and it never will. There is no attractiveness rating, no trustworthiness rating and no overall number. The findings describe the photograph, not the person in it.
